Tsunami Disclaimers

First and foremost...

Pearl Golf (A solely owned subsidiary of Caldwell Golf Co., Inc.) has used and owned the rights (as it pertains to golf), the name "Tsunami" for over 10 years, long before the recent disaster drew the attention of the world to the devastating effect of ruptures in the floor of the ocean.

The Tsunami name refers to the massive wave created by ocean-floor tectonic or volcanic activity; as a metaphor for the immensely powerful "Lite Wave" and "Tour Wave" golf shaft and club technology manufactured and sold by the Pearl Golf Company since 1996. The events of December 2004 reinforce the metaphor. In golf terms, the advances in club technology and the impact the Tsunami "Last Driver" has had since its inception has been equally substantial. We regret any connection between the name of our club and the pain and suffering caused by the now infamous Tsunami of 2004. We also join with all of those who participated in the Tsunami Relief programs in expressing our heartfelt sorrow.

Secondly...

A few years back, long after the Pearl Golf Co. owned the rights to (and was using) the name "Tsunami" as the name of our "premier" line of golf clubs, a group of - for lack of a more politically correct name - "thieves" started a company named Tsunami Golf. These people (through a very aggressive telemarketing campaign), were in the business of fleecing unsuspecting golfers out of a substantial amount of their money. Not long after we complained to the authorities, the FBI shut them down. Although Pearl Golf suffered some from the deeds of others, we are happy to say, our company prevailed and moved on.

Buyer beware - If somebody out there offers you something "free" and then asks for a credit card "for security"...DON'T BELIEVE IT!    HANG UP ON THEM!
